Concordia鈥檚 Accelerated Program for Teacher Licensure (CAPTL) offers several tracks for students who already have their bachelor鈥檚 degrees and are looking to enter the field of teaching. Our customizable program allows you to take classes online or in-person in a convenient 8-week format, with a wide variety of initial and add-on teacher licensures to choose from.

Program Overview

The CAPTL program prepares post-baccalaureate students to earn their initial teaching license in Early Childhood, Elementary, Special Education, or Secondary Education through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Current teachers may also earn their add-on licensure in ESL, Bilingual, and Gifted and Talented. We strive to inspire our teacher candidates to become servant leaders in the field of education. Our curriculum emphasizes working with diverse student populations, becoming reflective practitioners, and understanding how to differentiate instruction to meet the academic needs of all learners.
